Operations 'Tonga', 'Mallard'
and 'Rob Roy' were mounted from this airfield.
The first Dakota to land
in France after D-Day belonged to 575 Sqn.
Both Dakota Sqn's provided
much of Arnhem resupply.
After the war, the airfield
was used for passenger and freight purposes to Warsaw, Prague
Buckeburg and Rome
