WW2 Airfields of Oxfordshire

Introduction.

As someone who has an interest in aviation history, I find myself fortunate to be living close to several World War 2 airfields. As most of them are now closed with many buildings demolished and some with runways removed, I have decided to make a pictoral record of what they look like at the turn of the 20th century before they decay any further.

In this website you will find mostly images; images of hangars, watch towers, technical site buildings, dispersal sites, 'interesting' strips of concrete, airmans married quarters, known favourite pubs, etc, and anything else that took my fancy.
