Introduction. As someone who has an interest in aviation history, I find myself fortunate to be living close to several World War 2 airfields. As most of them are now closed with many buildings demolished and some with runways removed, I have decided to make a pictoral record of what they look like at the turn of the 20th century before they decay any further. In this website you will find mostly images; images of hangars, watch towers, technical site buildings, dispersal sites, 'interesting' strips of concrete, airmans married quarters, known favourite pubs, etc, and anything else that took my fancy. Be sure to bookmark this site as I will be updating it on a regular basis, and look for links to other sites that may be of interest. Select any of the airfields listed to the left and enjoy what views I have of then so far.
